About Brent
Before co-founding Ferrainolo Allen, Brent served as a Managing Partner at a national law firm, where he also chaired a practice group. He is an experienced civil trial lawyer with a focus on litigating batch claims and high-exposure cases, including malpractice, commercial litigation, long-term care, negligent security, transportation, and premises liability, at the national, regional, and local levels. Brent has represented distinguished public and private corporations, nonprofits, and individuals in their most complex civil matters, including jury trials, bench trials, arbitration panels, and governmental investigations.
He regularly advises senior executives and boards of directors on internal governance issues and disputes. He has been retained by national clients and appointed by both State and Federal Courts to serve as lead counsel in various cases. Recently, Brent acted as lead counsel and court-appointed liaison counsel in one of the largest multi-plaintiff medical malpractice litigations in the United States.
Brent is often a guest speaker at the state and national levels. Numerous media outlets have featured him and his cases, including NBC News, The Florida Times-Union, and News 4 Jax.
A native of Jacksonville, Brent is active in the local community. He was appointed by the Mayor to serve on the Downtown Development Review Board and most recently held the position of Vice Chair. He is also a past Mayoral appointee and sat on the Board of Directors for the Jacksonville Housing Authority. He is an Eagle Scout and serves in various leadership roles with the Boy Scouts of America.
Brent is also actively involved in professional and civic organizations, including the Rotary Club of Jacksonville-Downtown, Chester Bedell Inn of Court, The Florida Bar, and the Jacksonville Bar Association. He lives in Jacksonville with his wife, daughter, and son. In his spare time, he enjoys being outdoors and coaching youth athletics.
